Bachelor of Science
- Legacy (full tuition) Scholarship Recipient
- Dean's List: 2007-2010 academic years
- The Dr. Sunday A. Adesuyi Organic Chemistry Award
Under the lab of Dr. Tizabi of the Department of Pharmacology. Learning techniques in cell culture by using SH-SY5Y cells.
Conducted research on the molecular chaperone ClpB with the National Cancer Institute in the lab of Sue Wickner.
Developed an archive of Federal Registers and edited Safety Standards for Federal Registers.
Took Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 with Dr. Ayorinde.
I currently conduct research on neurodegenerative disorders in Dr. Tizabi's lab.
Interned in Dr. Wickner's lab during the summers of 2008 and 2009.
I am currently a second year Ph.D. student at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in the Infection, Immunity, and Inflammation (I^3) track. I recently joined the lab of Abraham Pinter, Ph.D., where we focus on HIV vaccine development. I hope to have a career in biomedical research and to become the PI of my own lab someday. I am a focused learner, enthusiastic about what the future holds, and a goal oriented person. Here is an overview of my current and recent research/professional activities.
