Assigned as a project manager to a project with the objective of opening 13 Direct Distribution Depots(company run operations as opposed to agents) throughout Sudan in 6 month, with a very tight budget. In the capacity of a project manager, my role was to plan, monitor, control project activities. In addition to making sure the project is within scope. The project's scope was to primarily exploit new market opportunities in rural Sudan, in order to gain a firmer control in distribution, and to increase sales volumes through a wider geographic reach. All this has to happen in line with the project's key Performance Indicators for budget allocation, time management, teamwork, and quality. The project was successfully executed, because of the huge team effort, and expected objectives were achieved.
