My duties:

  • Lead improvement of market for energy services for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and non–Original Equipment Manufacturer (Non-OEM) gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and generators for the Energy Service Division.
  • Administer the preparation of sales activities in Bahrain market by overseeing marketing functions, preparing budgets and forecasting.

Baker Hughes is the world's third-largest oilfield services company. For 4 years and a half I worked in Saudi for two divisions of Baker Hughes. For the first two years and a half, I worked as a Manufacturing Manger to manage the day-to-day operations for Hughes Christensen's Drill Bit Manufacturing Plant. We produced Tricone and PDC drill bits as per API standards.After that, I worked for two years as Plant Manager to look after the construction, staffing, procurement and installation of machinery and equipment for Baker Oil Tools new Screen Manufacturing Plant. I worked until completion of 70% of the new plant.My duties:

  • Manage special construction projects, installation and commissioning of equipment and machinery.
  • Produce yearly plans, budget forecasts and capital expenditure allocations.
  • Report monthly to management on performance with respect to yearly budget plans.

I worked for Bahrain Ministry of Defense for 13 years. I started as Construction Engineer to supervise mechanical aspects of construction projects.

After that, I worked for 9 years in the maintenance of Sh. Isa Air Base. I started as a Maintenance Deputy Commander then became the Commander of Maintenance. I had to look after infrastructure maintenance of the whole 21 square kilometers of air base.

I managed 80 employees and 3 engineers. I was responsible for 6 workshops and a warehouse. In addition to that, I worked as project manager to look after air base projects carried out by external contractors.

For my last 3 years with Bahrain Ministry of Defense, I worked as the Commander of Maintenance for Bahrain Naval Base, where I had similar responsibilities to my last position.

My duties:

  • Lead maintenance workforce, deal and coordinate with suppliers and contractors to carry out daily repair operations on equipment and infrastructure systems.
  • Manage maintenance projects performed by contractors on equipment and infrastructure systems.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of complex infrastructure systems, i.e., aircraft fuel storage systems, aircraft landing runways and helipads, car petrol stations, uninterruptable power supply systems, underground buildings and facilities, and sewage treatment plants.
  • Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of pipelines, pumps, air compressor, HVAC systems, water distribution and plumbing networks, fire protection systems, electronic/electrical devices, substations and power supply networks for buildings and infrastructures.
  • Implement schedules of preventive maintenance programs that reduce equipment failures and improve longevity.
  • Implement procedures and working instructions for installation, operation, shutdown and maintenance of equipment and its components.
  • Provide a leadership role for project initiatives aimed at reducing down time, improving reliability, conserving energy, and upgrading equipment.
