A one year diploma which consisted of modules in Secretarial skills, Tourism promotion, Tourism development, Tourism management, Travel and leisure industry, Tourism marketing, Microsoft office, Personal effectiveness skills
To support students improve their academic reading and writing skills
To manage and assist first year students settle into the academic domain and practices.
Acquired 1 year’s worth of teaching experience from Allanridge Secondary, Midrand High and Ponelopele High school as part of the practical component of the Bachelor’s of Education programme.
Subjects taught during the BEd Teaching Experience programme: EMS at grade 8 and 9 levels; Life Orientation at grade 9 and 10 and Economics at grade 10 to 12.
I have a keen interest in teaching Tourism and Business Studies in the FET and GET phase
To be interface with new and existing entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.
To coordinate entrepreneur training programmes, workshops, events, opportunities.
To coordinate the monitoring, evaluation and reporting system for service impact and ensure efficient running of the office.
To provide administrative and secretarial support to the Chief Operations, HR and National Implementation Managers in their portfolios .
To serve as the chief administrator in the multimillion national skills development projects.
To ensure the adherence of quality standards within the organisation. To explore new accreditation opportunities and maintain existing accreditation status ones from various educational bodies and authorities such as the GDE, ACCA, ICB, LG Seta, Isett Seta and Fasset Seta.
To coordinate the organisation's Human Resources function particularly the recruitment of teachers for the matric rewrite division.
To facilitate a 12 months THETA (currently CATHSSETA) learnership programme provided by Tourvest Travel Services, a leading travel group in South Africa.
To coordinate training schedules of 34 participants ensuring that they qualify with a National Certificate in General Travel (NQF5) at the end of the programme
General adhoc duties that relate to this project
At an advanced level in aspects of organising, administration and coordinating organisational operations
Effective in various modes of communication, including maintaining relationships, presentations and written text
At an intermediate level in designing training material for workshops. Developing expertise in areas of academic research.
Entails working with and supporting teenagers improve in their school and academic work.
An active committee-member for SAPNA; currently heading the Community Development pillar of this organisation. Led a youth outreach programme for grade 12 learners in June 2017 for the organisation
