Antioch College

Organizing events, creating informational material, facilitating difficult conversations, and managing crises are all part of a day's work for a Resident Assistant. Zachary advanced his administrative, communicative, and deliberative abilities while acting as a Resident Assistant.

Antioch College Community Government

By working within the Community Government, central to Antioch College, Zachary learned about accounting, policy drafting, consensus building, and the importance of community engagement.

Apprentice/Office Assistant

Dayton Quest Center

As an apprentice at the Dayton Quest Center, Zachary managed the front desk, attracted new students, and coached the martial art of To-Shin Do. He helped film instructional videos and deliver self-defense workshops and classes.

Detroit Achievement Academy

As a founding Office Manager, Zachary was primarily responsible for the development and establishment of systems within the recently opened charter school located in Detroit, Michigan. Additional responsibilities included: daily food management, data tracking, and the aftercare program.

Farm Hand

Moonshadow Farm

Made possible by the Ohio Agrarian Trade (OAT) Partnership, Zachary took on the responsibilities of a farm hand, caring for a menagerie of animals: goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, and horses. His work culminated in managing the farm while the owners were away for a week.

Oklahoma Indigent Defense System

In order to help pay his way through college, Zachary began working at a state law office as an office assistant. Ensuring proper filing of cases, digitizing files, and helping to maintain efficient systems were the main responsibilities of the office assistant.
