Job Dimensions: Manage a 9 person team (4 quality engineers, 1 warranty manager, 1 warranty engineer, 2 International Welding Engineers, 1 quality controler, 3 of them based in India) to achieve world class quality for ABB Sécheron SA products and processes (~250 employees, Traction Transformers, TOSA fast charging system)

  • Lead the resolution of Customer Complaints, continuously analyse them to increase customer satisfaction & reduce associated costs. Regular quality review with major customers.
  • Lead continuous improvement process & culture with Lean methodology 
  • Ensure that Management System complies with ISO9001:2015 / IRIS ISO TS 22163 (Railway Industry standard)  by leading the team & process owners to pass certification & surveillance audits
  • Ensure Supplier Quality performance through supplier qualification & performance monitoring / improvement projects
  • Support the team for quality issue resolution and take the lead on Major cases
  • Report Quality performance to local and global ABB management
  • Define / follow-up SMART objectives for each team member

HUB Quality Manager Europe, Distribution, Dry & Traction Transformers

ABB - Based in Geneva (CH)

Job Dimensions: Lead Quality related activities for the HUB Europe Distribution (7 factories) within the Business Unit Transformers.

  • Lead a team of seven Quality Managers based in the HUB factories.
  • Create and lead the HUB Quality Strategy in line with ABB Group Quality initiatives and customer expectations.
  • Establish regular Quality performance reviews and define relevant actions to support the continuous improvement in the HUB.
  • Continuously analyze customer complaints as well as internal issues across all factories to drive improvement and enhance synergies in all our units.
  • Develop Transfer procedures to secure manufacturing transfer activities between HUB factories.
  • Trigger Global Improvement projects when similar issues are identified accross the different factories.
  • Regularly audit the HUB factories.
  • Report the Quality Performance to higher level management on a regular basis.
  • Provide support and work closely with local Quality Managers to develop their competences and help them with their challenges.
  • Lead the resolution of major quality issues by coordinating the root cause analysis process between factories, technical experts and customers.

Global Quality Manager - Small Power Transformers Product Group

ABB - Based in Geneva (CH)

Job Dimensions: Lead Quality related activities for the Small Power Transformers Product Group, constituted of 13 factories in 11 different countries (USA, Colombia, Finland, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, Turkey, South Africa, India, China and Vietnam).

  • Lead a team of thirteen Quality Managers based in the Product Group factories.
  • Create and lead the Product Group Qualit Strategy in line with ABB Group Quality initiatives and customer expectations.
  • Establish regular Quality performance reviews and define relevant actions to support the continuous improvement in the Small Power Transformers factories.
  • Continuously analyze customer complaints as well as internal issues across all factories to drive improvement and enhance synergies in all our units.
  • Maintain Global Quality documentation for the Product Group (Quality cards, Instructions...) and create new documents when necessary.
  • Develop Transfer procedures to secure manufacturing transfer activities between PG  factories.
  • Trigger Global Improvement projects when similar issues are identified across the different factories.
  • Regularly audit the Small Power Transformers Factories.
  • Report the Product Group Quality performance to higher level management on a regular basis.
  • Provide support and work closely with factory Quality managers to develop their competences and help them with their challenges.

Localization Project Manager & Global Traction Quality Leader

ABB - Based in Geneva (CH)

Global Traction Quality Leader:

  • Lead Quality activities for the ABB Traction Transformers factories (footprint: Switzerland, China, India, Poland and South-Africa).
  • Establish and lead continuous quality improvement culture within the Traction Transformer product line. Develop reliability growth process and KPIs to assess product line performance and improve customer satisfaction. Report performance to ABB Group Senior level.
  • Conduct yearly NPS analysis, follow and improve Customer Complaints resolution process.
  • Regularly Audit Traction Transformer factories as per relevant standards (ISO9001 and IRIS).
  • Lead major quality issues resolution worldwide (Internal and external coordination).

Localization Project Manager:

  • Lead business development activities for the localization of Traction Transformer manufacturing in the USA. Study Buy America regulations, organize meetings with US Federal Transit and Railroad Administrations, create business plans.
  • Manage a South-African localization project. Involved in the factory establishment (green field), customer discussions, conduct local management team interviews, local supplier development, training organization.
  • Continue transferring projects to China and India as described below.
  • Write and enforce Transfer Procedures.
