In an office setting with 2 supervisors and 4 colleagues, my duties include:

  • Establish and maintain Office of Diversity and Inclusion's Georgetown webpage based on drupal website framework;
  • Conduct research on diversity and inclusion issues associated with higher medical education, including financial aid, admission bias, career development, etc.
  • Establish and maintain an online presence (facebook, twitter, website) for the office;
  • Assist the GEMS program director with the tracking, collecting and monitoring of alumni surveys and databases in order to facilitate an active alumni network.
  • Data visualization and visual identity design, including logo, flyer and banner design.
  • Other administrative works including answering emails, organizing open house, etc.

  • Maintained and updated client database, google list-serve and WordPress-based website;
  • Conducted community outreaches to homeless shelter in DC metro area;

Working with the dean of policy evaluation and 3 other policy researchers, my duties include:

  • Collected and organized survey responses from more than 200 respondents for a research project related to ethnic minority students' work benefit;
  • Co-maintained HKCSS's stall at the Hong Kong Book Festival;
  • Used SPSS and Excel to analyze data collected from social surveys and wrote evaluative reports.

1. "Within Reach" Campaign - <Public Policy Process> Course Final Project

In collaboration with two other classmates, I completed this research project and campaign proposal for the Public Policy Process course in 2014 fall. This project aims to tackle the student loan issue in higher education, and proposes to leverage the power of internet to empower college students.

2. Overcoming Barriers to Real Estate Development - Graduation Capstone Project

The capstone team consists of 4 McCourt students, and is aimed at producing an evaluative report of the planning review process in Baltimore with support from the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicator Alliance. The final report is expected to help Baltimore Government as well as developers make better decisions in  the public review process.
