Research Assistant, Ewha Brain and Cognitive Science Institute

Advisor: Jieun E.Kim, assistant professor of Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Ewha University 

Conducted extensive interviews with over 100 North Korean refugees. Coded the data variables using Microsoft Excel. Handled recruitment and scheduling of the participants. Analyzed the relationships between the range and severity of the refugees’ traumatic experience and their satisfaction of life using STATA. Validated research questionnaires. Proposed neuro-economics studies. Drafted documents for IRB approval. Conducted functional magnetic resonance imaging sessions. Analyzed brain image data using FSL and MATLAB. Took part in the drafting of several articles published in the lab.
