As interim manager I was responsible for the strategic planning, branding and marketing of messages, services, activities and events – to a student base of 20,000 – via extensive engagement with colleagues, student groups and societies, the university and wider community.
I managed three direct reports to deliver projects and integrated campaigns on democracy, volunteering, sustainability, well-being, diversity and representation, arts and culture.
The union’s vast programme of activity includes the annual freshers’ fair at which, amongst other deliverables, I facilitated a sponsorship and advertising income of over £90,000.
Development of resources, processes, briefs, guidelines and toolkits to enhance the marketing function with consistent output, proactive and comprehensive project management.
Revamping the digital estate to achieve a structured convergence of data, emails, websites, broadcast and social media platforms.
Re-scoping the media estate, to maximise revenue opportunities through advertising, promotions and sponsorships; Targeting £185,000pa.
