Drafting up a standard research and monitoring protocol for Cape Nature's Marine protected areas, Islands and Estuaries.

Drafting of the Betty's Bay beachfront and dune management plan as well as conducting stakeholder engagement meetings with Overstrand Municipality, Environmental Affairs and Rate Payers Association.

Research monitoring involving; collection, analysis and interpretation of data projects including:-

                 -  Water quality studies at Bot, Klien and Palmiet River Estuaries

                 -   Boat based White Shark charming for population dynamics studies  

                 -  Baited underwater video monitoring of Benthic Sharks .

Engaging with and providing information on Marine and coastal programme, management plans and management forums to stakeholders involved in marine, coastal and estuarine management.

Organising, minute talking and compiling reports for the Western Cape Estuaries Management Programme and Task Team.

Assisted in conducting specialists studies at Durban Harbour for impact assessment conducted by Anchor Consultants. This included the following:

             - Literature review for trends in fish biodiversity and abundance over the years

             - Collection and lab identification of  invertebrates samples     

             - Fish sampling and identification.

Habitat management and monitoring of seabird colony at Stoney Point

Formulating collaborative environmental education at local schools in Hermanus, Gansbaai and Kleinmond.

Mentoring B-Tech students on developing research projects, statistical analyses and scientific report writing.

Assisting in compliance and law enforcement activities at Betty's Bay Marine protected area.

Assisting in doing budgets, reports and general office administration.
