Mr. Ginsburg was instrumental in founding an extracurricular program at the school in order to improve the lives of youths. The program was founded honor his father’s memory. Ginsburg continues to oversee the budget for the program. As a reward for their studies, students at Cheder Menachem earn books. The children have continuously reached higher levels of achievement since the program’s launch. When not working or serving his community, Yaacov Ginsburg enjoys exploring the great outdoors. In addition to hiking in the Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, Mr. Ginsburg finds pleasure in camping in Baja California. He fishes for sea bass and yellowtail in San Quintin and relaxes in the hot springs of Guadalupe Canyon. Furthermore, Yaacov Ginsburg frequently spends time whale watching on the Pacific Ocean and seeks out unpopulated beaches. A surfing enthusiast as well, Mr. Ginsburg has visited prime locations in Mexico, Hawaii, and California. His favorite surf spots include Malibu, though when he can, Mr. Ginsburg escapes from the busy beaches of Southern California for the more secluded spots and epic barrels of Kauai, a Hawaiian island.
