Summary

Working as an instructor since 1997, I have been able to see changes in the computer industry and been able to keep up to date with software and hardware. I love learning and I love teaching students more about the topic of computers. I teach in both areas of Computer Information Systems(CIS) and Business Administrative Technology(BAT)

CIS Instructor

Teach all courses in the Computer Information Systems Computer Support Specialist Program and most in the CIS Networking Program.  Duties include: 

  • research books and resources;
  • develop syllabi and progression plans;
  • develop additional classroom resources;
  • lecture and guide students in each course being offered each quarter/semester,
  • advise students for upcoming courses
  • Prepare for adjunct faculty members all curriculum necessary including syllabi, books, instruction manual, training

Maintain classroom computers, software, third party training and testing software such as EMCP SNAP2010

  • Additional administrative duties to include:
  • community service;
  • Staff development;
  • mentoring, and other duties as assigned

  • Working with other BAT instructors to maintain consistency across the board with all students
  • develop classroom/online lectures
  • advise students in an umbrella of curriculum under the BAT program
