Once a year, William Welsome, a California investment broker, donates to Fire Dogs, a charity devoted to giving service animals to fire departments. Welsome’s gift helps Fire Dogs train its animals to sniff out chemicals such as lighter fluid and gasoline that spread flames, a service that proves useful in deciding whether a fire has involved arson. Additionally, Welsome involves himself in the American Red Cross, recently fundraising and organizing a recognition dinner for a local chapter. These philanthropic actions mirror Welsome’s proactive approach to the financial business, in which he has worked for nearly 20 years. He has served as Vice President of Sales for RichMark Capital Corporation in La Jolla, California, where he worked with large banking clients and focused on new business development.Previously, Welsome contributed his talents to Chatfield Dean and Company from 1995 to 2008. Welsome also launched Satellite Trading and Investments in Mission Valley, California, for which he established contracts, advised on investment strategies, and made asset allocations. His clientele came from the corporate, retail, and hospitality sectors. Another of Welsome’s successful businesses, Wealth Capital, provided consultations and investment services for various public companies. Welsome has maintained his professional development by earning several insurance and brokerage related licenses, notably the Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 certifications. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking, playing basketball, road biking, and boot camp exercises. William Welsome holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from San Diego State University and was involved with the school’s Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
