About William Kopenhefer Manhattan Beach

A New York University undergraduate and athletic scholar, William Kopenhefer attended high school in Manhattan Beach, California. An honor roll student who pursued studies in Spanish throughout his high school years, William Kopenhefer also achieved distinction as a volleyball player. He was a member of the Mira Costa High School varsity volleyball team and helped his teammates achieve an undefeated league record in 2013. He earned All Tournament Team selection in the Redondo Volleyball Tournament and was named the team’s Most Inspirational Player of 2014.

Maintaining a strong presence in his local community, William Kopenhefer served as an active listener on a community helpline that assists individuals in mental distress in Los Angeles. He also volunteered with Dig For Kids and instructed inner city children in volleyball. In 2015, he pursued an internship with the startup fitness app company RENEWU in Pacific Palisades, California. A fan of Los Angeles sports teams, he follows the Dodgers and Lakers.
