About William Byrnes

A published author with 30 books to his name, William Byrnes joined National Underwriter (an ALM company) in 2010 as a leader of financial advisory publications and an author. He is tasked with developing books and articles for the wealth management industry. His many publications appear in the National Underwriters Advanced Markets Library, ThinkAdvisor and Life Health Pro Journals, and Tax Facts series. Concurrently, William Byrnes writes for LexisNexis and serves as a faculty member of the Texas A&M School of Law.

The law, academic, and financial services career of William Byrnes spans more than two decades, during which time he pioneered online legal education by helping to establish of the first online master of laws program. Mr. Byrnes has also sold in excess of 100,000 print and online publications about financial crimes and tax. He has authored books such as Money Laundering, Asset Forfeiture & Recovery, Compliance - A Global Guide, and the 3rd edition of the Lexis Guide to FATCA Compliance. His other accomplishments include admission as a journalist into the National Press Club and being commissioned as a member of the Fulbright Specialist Roster.
