Managed 13 - state region with $200 million annual sales and EBITDA $28 million. P&L responsibility for 102 stores. Supervised 9 District Managers, 2 Regional HR Managers, and 2 Regional Loss Prevention Managers. Key accomplishments:
·Increased EBITDA from $15 million to over $28 million by developing high powered, sales and profit focused District Teams.
·Built strong bench and reduced GM turnover from 25% to 18% by implementing quarterly succession planning and business reviews.
·Created the “We Sell Characters, Not Costumes” selling concept that helped drive recordHalloween sales and profits each year.
·Implemented weekly loss store review sessions and reduced stores with negative EBITDA from 28 to 10 over a 1 year period.
·Reduced shrink from 2.8% to 1.8% by working closely with stores and implementing Intensive Care Store shortage program.
·Co-facilitated training with VP of Finance. Trained all stores to read, analyze, and react to monthly P&L statements.Due to intense emphasis placed on process, Region was able to achieve planned EBITDA every year.
·Selected to turn around underperforming Northeast Region. Rebuilt organization, brought area to company standards, and achieved 8% same store sales increase within a ten month period.
