Summary

I am a dietetics student, working toward the goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian. I hold a bachelor's degree in chemistry, and will complete my bachelor's degree in food and nutrition summer of 2014. In addition to being a full-time student, I stay home full-time with our 3 children, who are 3, 4, and 6 years old. Motherhood cultivated my enthusiasm for the field of dietetics. After becoming a mother, I felt compelled to educate myself on childhood nutrition as best I could; my journey exposed me to the broken relationships so many individuals are experiencing with food. I am passionate about helping individuals and families repair their attitudes and behaviors toward food, and providing them with the necessary tools to make healthier dietary choices. Pediatric nutrition and eating disorder support are the two areas in which I plan to focus my career. I am a reading addict and an avid half-marathoner. I also like to pretend I can garden.
