Facilitates the creation of campaigns and collateral around new initiatives and issue areas. Ensures the powerful FGA story is told across platforms in meaningful, innovative, and effective ways with a clear focus on reaching the right audience with a targeted message.

Advises CEO and COO on internal communications, brand development, event planning, and overall organizational strategy. Directs marketing and communications teams, consultants, media vendors, digital advertising agencies, and coalition partnerships.

Senior leadership team member. Provided strategic direction of the marketing, communications, branding, digital, public policy, and media relations functions of the Institute. Served as Institute spokeswoman.

Led an award-winning rebranding of the organization within the first six months at the Institute. Launched a million-dollar website project, meeting and exceeding twelve month engagement goals by 150%  in the first six weeks. Managed internal team and external vendors, consulting with internal departments and advising on strategic partnerships and decisions.

Guided Institute strategic initiatives including the development of a new vision and mission statement and a five-year strategic plan. Frequent print and broadcast media contributor, discussing issues related to education policy and education reform.

Organized more than six million members for action on the ground and online. Fostered relationships with key stakeholders at the state and national level. Planned events, conferences and summits.
