•    2008 – Equivalents Revisited: I didn’t invent cloud watching. Neither did Alfred Stieglitz, although he certainly mastered the photographing them. This is my homage his great achievement.

•    2008 – Seen in Detroit, the Midwestern Sky: The other day, I looked at a few hundred images of urban photographs on the Internet. As I browsed, I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by the striking sense of despair and sadness. Realizing that I had, in the past, contributed to this point of view, I decided to change my mind. This collection of work focuses on one small nugget of beauty found in Detroit, Michigan.

Technology Manager responsible for global wiper system preformance.Strengthened lines of communication between GM’s engineering centers in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Korea, China and India.Supported various teams across the globe in the area of warranty reduction, cost reduction and product improvements.Established technology solutions and out-sourcing strategies.Guarenteed that new car and truck programs will meet the highest performance, durability and quality standards at the right cost.

Lead Designing Engineer, Wiper Systems, 2003 – 2009

 Project Engineer/Manager responsible for all Cadillac Sedans and the XLR, the Saab 9-3 and the Chevrolet Corvette Wiper Systems.Executed the on-time/on-budget launch of the 2008 Cadillac CTS. Enhanced the CTS V-Series wiper system so that it had effective wipe performance at speeds up to 193 mph, the car’s top speed. Formed a warranty reduction and product improvement team that was composed of GM and non-GM personnel based in the US, Mexico, China, France and Germany.

Product Designing Engineer, 1997 - 2003

Project Engineer responsible for glass, wipers and air inlet panels.Championed the sourcing, design and integration of the C6 Corvette windshield, the side door and rear end glass, as well as thermo-set and thermoform plastic panels.Assumed lead responsibility for the 2004 Cadillac SRX and 2005 STS glass, wipers, and air inlet panels systems after an internal reorganization left the role unfilled. Eliminated an expensive, solar absorbing, windshield technology saving $70,000,000 on the Lumina Minivan, while offsetting the impact to the customer by using a small portion of the savings to enhance the air conditioning system.Formalized the process of developing windshields for “Heads Up Display” options reducing the development budget from over $100,000 to $20,000.Mentored 8 new engineersAchieved certification as an Auto Body Designer using Unigraphics Computer Aided Design and Engineering Software through General Motors Continuing Education Program.

Lead Vehicle Validation Engineer, 1991 – 1996

Product Test and Validation Engineer responsible for component-to-total vehicle testing and certification.Formed and lead a team of 15 test and computer analysis engineers that developed and correlated vehicle computer models to actual physical test. Reduced test resource requirements by 50% through the coordination and careful planning of test and test resources in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Germany and England, resulting in a budget reduction of $5,000,000.Developed the first total vehicle validation template for GM. Using test equipment ranging in size from tabletop to full-scale vehicles, I enjoyed breaking thousands of car parts in millions of different ways.
