My father and I own and operated a small wood shop that has been in business for the last 16 years.  We have a saw mill where we cut and dry most all the lumber was use.  Our wood shop deals in custom wood projects which include furniture like Dining Tables, coffee and end tables, poker tables.  We also turn wood for bowls, vases and urns.  We use wood species like Walnut, Red Cedar, Persimmon and Cherry.

I was originally hired for an estimator position for this high end commercial cabinet manufacturer and after the first six weeks and proving my abilities, I was moved to Plant Manager.  Kids-R-Kids, Internal Medicine Association and Frankie's Fun Park are just a few projects that we done.

Office / Engineering Manager

Managed seven truss designers and two truss estimators for a leading truss manufacturer.  As the Office Manager I was able to reduce the running cost by 14.8%.  During the short time with Builders FirstSource, I was able to reduce designer error from 12.1% to 1.01% for a annual savings of $150,000.

Engineering Mgr / Q.C Mgr / Maintenance Coordinator

Mascot Homes Inc.

Managed 12 designers and 2 Quality Control inspectors for a Modular Manufacturer.  Mascot constructed residential and commercial modulars for eight southeast states.  Price of homes ranged from $50,000 to over $1,000,000 and sizes from 1000 sf to over 6,000 sf.  While at Mascot I wrote and enforced the Quality Control Manual and wrote all state manuals.  When not designing I was performing on line QC inspections and assisting dealers with set-up of a complex triple hinged roof system.  Maintenance Coordinator which included any building upgrades, repair or replacement of tools and machinery, ground keeping and cleaning and upkeep of buildings.  Example of building upgrade is designed and oversaw construction of a $300,000 gantry system and $175,000 overhead crane.
