Summary

My name is Wayne Gibbons and I am currently living in the United States of America with my family until 2014. We have moved to the New York area as my wife has taken a position with an American education company. My wife and I have three children currently attending their local school.

I have had a successful career working in education as a teacher, Education Officer and an Itinerant Support Teacher Behaviour. I have been teaching in Australia for fouteen years and have had experience teaching in Papua New Guinea. I have spent many years travelling and working abroad in a range of professions which I believe have ......

Over my professional career I have undertaken a range of professional learning courses and seminars, as well as enrolling myself in further education to ensure I am always developing my skill set.

I am excited by the opportunity to live and work in New York State and look forward to gaining experience teaching in the USA and believe that I will bring enthusiasm, fresh ideas and professionism to your work environment.

Working in Local Government providing technical and educational support to Rescue Agencies and the general public ascross the Tweed Shire. The role involved preparing and delivering workshops, attending and addressing local meetings related to the role as well as creating a range of written material, software and web based information for internal use as well as for the general public.

As a staff member at Crystal Creek Public School I enjoyed a range of roles from classroom teacher to school Librarian. I also took on the responsibility of Computer Coordinator for the school. I was successful in gaining funding for a numbwer of projects which improved student outcomes across the school.

Signed English is a one year course conducted by New South Wales TAFE and it has provided me with the necessary skills to work in educational settings with hearing impaired children. The language is an Australian based system that is used extensively throughout New South Wales schools that support the hearing impaired. I have used this skill as both an interpretor and teacher of the hearing impaired.
