Cigna_HealthSpring - PM for Data Governance - (TekSystems Contract)

  • As the PM for the Data Governance department I collaborated with inter-departmental subject area committees to define their critical assets.
  • In the dual role of Scrum Master I also worked with the business analysts and other team members to create business and technical rules around the critical data assets to insure the companies data quality.
  • Created and Delivered Training.
  • Conducted the Daily Scrum, the Bi-Weekly Sprint Backlog and the Sprint Planning meetings.
  • Reported the weekly status to the Team Lead and the VP of Data Governance.
  • Coordinated multiple initiatives running in tandem.
  • Successful Cross departmental collaboration.
  • Coordinated deliverables and worked closely with the team to make sure that they had the necessary information to perform their jobs.
  • The team uses the IBM InfoSphere Product Suite along with other software which includes Metadata Workbench, Business Glossary, Information Analyzer, Data Stage and Cognos.
  • Helped create the DG Newsletter which was designed to communicate our updates to various subject area committees, such as Membership, Claims, Provider, etc.

Vitalchek LexisNexis -  PM for New Mexico (DAVE) - (TekSystems Contract)

(“DAVE” is an application that is in multiple states as the interface to electronically deliver Birth and Death records to state residents),

  • Coordinated with government officials to update and make changes to the “Dave” application and official certificates.
  • Worked directly with the state officials in New Mexico.
  • Participated in Agile Team conference calls. Our team members were located in 3 different states.
  • Updated Training and User Manuals with new screen shots and verbiage.
  • Oversaw the contractual proceedings for the Support contract worth over a $120,000 yearly. This involved collaboration with attorney’s and upper management during the negotiations.
  • Conducted a weekly conference call with the New Mexico State Vital Records Office stakeholders.
  • Keep Meeting notes, reported Issues and helped in resolving client concerns.
  • Researched survey sites and created web surveys to allow for over 5,000 participants as needed in Survey Monkey.

  • Conducted the weekly project meetings for the EMR Implementation Project. With a total of 21 facilities having been involved at different times. The most were 11 at one time.Was involved in all aspects of the project. Such as Budget meetings, Trainer scheduling, Scope of project, Facility communication, Maintained the project in MS Project.

  • Worked with outsourced consultants (North Highland) to oversee the TX facilities while I oversaw
    AR simultaneously.

  • Gathered and created a 45 page Administrator Packet to explain the entire project to the Administrators at the facilities and had phone and e-mail contact with them to answer questions.

  • Made reservations and sent out contact sheets for the individuals performing the implementation.

  • Wrote a weekly Status Report and turned it into the CIO.

Report Writer

  • Financial Reports – I worked closely with several senior accountants to develop and maintain all of
    the company’s financial reports (Approximately 100 reports). As a publicly owned company these were crucial when reporting to the board.

  • Programs also used for reporting; Cognos, and MS Access.

  • SilverChair (company web based learning platform). I created courses and supported other departments as needed.

  • Researched computer applications to meet the company’s needs.

  • Project Scope to Maintenance. SDLC.

  • Gathered the needs of the field by communicating with Region Directors, District Managers,
    part-time personnel and full-time territory field managers.

  • Presented my findings and made recommendations for a website solution and desktop solution to
    meet the company’s mapping needs. One application was $25,000- $30,000 without web capability.
    I researched Maptitude which was $400 with a savings of $24,600- $29,600 for the desktop capability. And they offered a web solution so we could integrate the technologies.

  • Communicated the custom programming needs for a mapping program called Maptitude.

  • Collected the training material and communicated with Caliper (the vendor) to create maps and mapping website solution.

  • Developed voicemail group and numbering structure.

  • Developed processes to enter “new hire” and “termination” voicemail data.

  • Auto Attendant – I am the voice on the auto attendant so any changes are made by me.


  • HR Support – Input New Hire and Termination information as well as supplied any needed maps.

  • HR - Store Assignments - Make sure that store data lists are formatted and presented to our outside company to calculate the part-timers mileage.

  • Store Assignments – Process large store lists on the mapping program to assign to a territory.
