About W Bryan Sims

As the director of hospital emergency services at Winnie Community Hospital, W. Bryan Sims oversees the personnel and patient flow plan as well as the budget. Under his leadership, this hospital provides both inpatient and outpatient services and serves as a resource for local emergency medical organizations, as well. Before taking on this position, W. Bryan Sims served as chief medical officer at Southeast Texas Medical Associates in Beaumont, helping the organization maintain an evidence-based medical practice across the whole organization. Under his leadership, Southeast Texas Medical Associates transitioned into a Patient Centered Medical Home and became an affiliate of the Joslin Diabetes Center.

During his spare time, W. Bryan Sims enjoys fishing and other outdoor activities, and has taken his family on vacations to great fishing spots across the country. His family took a trip to the Snake River, where they fished in below-freezing temperatures. He also regularly participates in major runs, including three marathons and several shorter races.
