Area Director of Sales

  • Oversee the overall sales objectives for multiple hotel brands, conference centers, restaurants and indoor water park and golf-ski resort.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and assistance to hospitality sales team of 15 managers and coordinators, along with Wedding and Corporate Detailers
  • Review the STAR report, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to grow market share.
  • Execution of pricing strategies and inventory restrictions, utilizing yield reports, historical data, trends, production analysis, contribution reports, inventory spreadsheets, and individual market performance, designed to maximize revenue from a rate and occupancy perspective. 
  • Direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to the annual and monthly Forecast, Marketing Budget, Leads, Booking Report, and Sales Meetings Minutes.
  • Actively participate in the sales process via customer meetings, entertainment, FAM trips and attendance at trade shows in conjunction with Visit Erie and Presque Isle Downs Casino, networking events and other relevant industry events.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and operations to develop marketing initiatives to increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain rapport with internal stakeholders (Executive Team, Operations, and Corporate Services) to ensure in providing a customer experiences that exceed the customer’s expectations
  • Represent the company at tour and travel shows:  OMCA, Buffalo Golf Show, Cleveland Golf Show, Pittsburgh Golf Show, PA Bus, Ski shows along with various trade shows.

  • Oversaw $2.5M Courtyard by Marriott renovation while maintaining 91% Guest Satisfaction.
  • Marriott Platinum Award 2002, Gold Award 2003-2006, Highest Breakfast scores 2008 – 2010.
  • Responsible for overseeing, directing and supervising Operating Departments including, Banquets, Front Office, Housekeeping/Laundry, and Food & Beverage.  Held weekly leadership meetings with team leaders.
