Wanda Hill maintains several years of leadership experience. An alumna of Valdosta State University, located in Georgia, her degrees in Business Administration, Finance, and Accounting have helped her career in many ways. As the current Interim Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Sierra Nevada College, Wanda Hill relies on her background in business to oversee the school's many departments. At Sierra Nevada College, Wanda Hill serves as staff support to the school's Board of Trustees Finance Committee. She also supervises the Controller, as well as the dining services, bookstore, facilities services, and information technology.Ms. Hill also spent several years with Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She worked as the Vice President for Administration and Treasurer of the Washburn University Board of Regents and oversaw the university's $104-million operating budget. She worked as staff support for the university's Board of Regents Budget and Finance Committee as well as its Audit Committee. Wanda Hill also has teaching experience and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia. She was an instructor of accounting at her alma mater, Valdosta State University, holding that position for six years before moving on to her executive positions.In addition to her work at several universities, Mrs. Hill maintains corporate experience. Before she embarked on her career in higher education, she worked for the Southern California Regional Rail Authority for two years. As the company's Chief Financial Officer, she supervised the accounting office, human resources department, budgets, information systems, contracts and procurement, and more.
