I was accepted to work with Petrogaz Engineering Sdn Bhd which the company is one of the expertise in construction industry. I was very honored working with the team in this company as they were very helpful and motivated in working time. When I was employed, I had given tasks by my employer to help our Quantity Surveyor to carried out the works in the office or at construction site. These includes:

  • Take off quantities of all elements involved in the project.
  • Prepare Bill of Quantity and other documents related to the project.
  • Responsible for managing all project costs from pitch to completion. Undertaking costs analysis for building projects. 
  • Advised and conduct teams on project that has been awarded. 
  • Managed and prepared the claim every month.
  • Monitoring the cost of site resources, inspecting and then valuing completed.
  • Controlled product's supply and make sure the material for the construction is reached at the site on time.
  • Attending meetings and liaising with clients and design teams on commercial matters.
  • Project Scheduling, monitoring and preparation of `Bar Chart'.
  • Advising the client on buidability and cost/time certainty.
  • Advising the client on environmental friendly resources with reasonable price.

Job Descriptions:

  • Enters and prepares the room for cleaning
  • Dusts the room and furniture.
  • Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies.
  • Cleans the bathroom and prepare the bed
  • Cleans the closet, vacuums and racks the carpet.
  • Checks and secures the rooms.
  • Replenish amenities according to the operational standards.
  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required
  • Cleans guest bathroom/bed room/floor corridor.

I found that I developed my technical skills during my days in university where I learnt how to do taking-off quantity and preparing cost estimate to achieved client's cost budget. I am now able to use CAD Measure, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Project to produce report or any related documents. In addition, I developed my skills in produce bench-marking by using BCIS.


As Malay is my first language, I am able to write in Malay very well and can produce a good report if I work in Malaysia. I can speak and write well in both languages English and Malay


Excellent communication skills, developed through experience when I worked as Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Communication skill is not only speaking well. It is includes listening, speaking and understanding. I believes that I have strong communication skills where in my past experience, I was able to communicate with client and project team and attending meeting. I developed my skills in answering questions and rephrasing what the person says to ensure I am understanding very well.
