Work experience

Jul 2014Present

Officer, Assistant Manager

Bank of America

- Co-manager of a Top 200 banking center (out of ~5,500 branches) located in affluent North Scottsdale. #1 Branch in terms of US Trust/GWIM traffic in Arizona. Over $200MM in total assets ($131MM in deposits).

-  At the time of new management arrival, the banking center was not meeting expectations in multiple metrics such as client experience, teller engagement, and sales/referrals per customer visit. Only 74% of revenue goal in July, increased to 97% in August, 108% in September, and 115% currently in October!

- Achieved improvements in teller engagement by leveraging process improvements I developed in previous role. Increased sales/referral productivity by shifting a dual teller/seller employee to full-time sales role. Deployed differentiated client experience to recognize affluent clients and increase satisfaction scores.

- Faced staffing challenges due to market-wide lack of talent "on the bench". Took initiative in recruiting, hiring, and training self-sourced talent. Helped other branches resolve staffing issues whenever possible.

- October Employee of the Month due to peer and customer recognition. Score of Exceed Expectations (highest rating) on most recent performance review. Recommended for promotion by branch manager.

AMLDP Associate

Bank of America

- Participated in a highly-selective leadership development program focused on developing top performing managers within the banking center channel through experience, education, and exposure.

- Hands-on experiential learning model exposed me to various management styles across 17 banking centers, including chronic under-performers, many of which I lead as a result of management changes.

- High level learning through exposure to senior leaders such as the Consumer Market Manager and Area Executive through in-person meetings as well as Region Executives through the Leadership Summit.

- Successfully executed Market-wide Improvement Project focused on identifying greatest performance gap by using a pilot group of banking centers to test and implement proposed process improvements. Increased CER metric by over 50% within the pilot group and shared recommendations with senior leadership.

- Elected by my peers to a 3-person Committee which organized and lead the program's Community Volunteer efforts. Achieved our target of 1000 volunteer hours from our 54-member 2013 AMLDP class.

Relationship Banker-SBS

JPMorgan Chase

- Individual contributor role where I consistently exceeded goals for selling financial products and services, making referrals to other lines of business, and growing credit/deposit balances for my book of customers. Ranked in the top 25% of bankers in the entire company; top 20 overall in my district; top 10 for my job role.

- Began as a Personal Banker, focused only on consumer/mass market clients. Nominated after 4 months to become a Licensed Banker (to sell investment products) and subsequently became a Relationship Banker now focused on mass affluent/preferred clients and, later on, small business clients as well (see below)

- Named MVP 3 times during company sales seminars, including during the Small Business seminar after which I became an SBS (Small Business Specialist) in addition to my Relationship Banker role.
