Managed the organizational operations of the Association and developed specific policies, procedures and programs to carry out the objectives of the Board of Directors and the HBA as a whole. Worked with executive director, members of the board of directors, and the development committee and others to set and meet annual revenue goals.Led all initiatives, business processes and performance metrics, performance of revenues, profit margins, cost and overruns. Solicits and procures gifts (when appropriate, is the lead solicitor and advises the executive director and other leaders on best approach methods).  Cultivated and developed relationships (including facilitating introductions and cultivation opportunities for the executive director and board, meeting with identified prospects, keeping detailed records in database of interactions, maintaining an aggressive yet reasonable schedule of cultivation activities with identified set of prospects). Tracked Professional Services performance, profitability, efficiency and resource utilization. Conducted contract administration inspection and program management. Oversee the development and implementation of operations and events of the HBA of Metro Denver, and handled duties of Executive Vice President when necessary.  Managed membership sales development through marketing, promotions and advertising for the association.  Focused on profit-building exercises including new business development, non-dues revenue producing activities Effectively hired, trained and motivated technical staff and management team; established and monitored results to consistently increase profit margins, enhanced market position, reduce operating costs, and meet strategic objectives.

  • Re-conceptualized and implemented the new multi-site format for the Parade of Homes, resulting in one of the largest events in the state of Colorado, which generated revenues to more than $2.5 million annually. 
  • Designed and implemented a bar code system for electronic ticketing for the Parade of Homes.
  • Developed the first Council Board of Directors, responsible for operational optimization, facility management, and producing special events including: Builder Product Night Expo, Annual HBA Golf Tournament and The Installation and Recognition Dinner, After Hours and Builder Breakfasts events.
  • Managing event volunteers, event committees and event chairs.
  • Management of event logistics.
  • Coordinated and delegated all major event details.
  • Developed and managed  departmental budgets and financial oversight of a $3M budget, including profit & loss, ROI analysis,  due diligence processes, contract negotiations and vendor selection
  • Develop and execute the leadership training program, promoting strong and continuous involvement by members of the council and cultivation of potential leaders.
  • Establish membership recruitment and retention programs, increasing membership base expanding membership recognition of the association.
  • Promote value-added member services that enhance the benefit of membership, including educational training, affinity programs and product and service discounts.
  • Collaborate with National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and Council Board to achieve goals.
