I have found it helpful to use my strengths to the best of my ability in order to strive towards excellence in the working world. I pride myself in being goal oriented, my willingness to work well with others, and also my self driven and determined personality. However, I truly believe that these qualities are meaningless if there is a hint of doubt that I love what I do every single day. In particular, my interest in the health field will allow me to focus on putting others before myself as a contribution towards exhibiting passion for my patients.

Currently my primary focus is on maintaining a strong GPA and keeping up with my involvement on campus. Concentrating on academics will ensure that I am a competitive candidate to being accepted into the Food and Nutrition Coordinated Program. I hope to graduate from the University of Alabama in 2014 with a degree in Food and Nutrition. After potentially completing the CP program here at the university I would then have the credentials to become a Registered Dietitian.

Following graduation, my degree in Food and Nutrition will be a major contributing factor towards the preparation necessary for me to accomplish my long time goal of becoming a Pediatric nurse. I hope to apply into an accelerated 18 month nursing program to gain a degree as a Registered Nurse. Regardless of where my profession takes me, I hope to join a practice in a hospital setting to focus my attention on the passion I have for aiding children and also be the helpful communicator to parents in need of medical information on their child.
