Director Equipment Management(Electronics). Ministry of Defence(ARMY) Responsible for revenue procurement cycle of the electronic equipment for Indian Army. Interacting with Ministry of Defence, MoD Finance and Quality Control Agencies. Involved in life cycle management of all air defence, surveillance & communication equipment held by the Army. Formulating policies relating to provisioning, issue, inspection, storage, repairs, maintenance and provisioning of maintenance spares of all electronic equipment. Involved in examination of proposals for creation of infrastructure for major repairs and overhaul. Interacting with the various indigenous and foreign suppliers of electronic equipment. Serving as Advisor to Master General of Ordnance(Principal Staff Officer to the Chief of Army Staff) on all technical matters related to electronic equipment. Highlights: Accredited for increasing stock levels through faster sales cycles within delegated powers of Master General of Ordnance. Efficiently managed electronic equipment worth INR 6.8 billion procured by the Army. Significantly reduced the deficiency of power equipment by obtaining waiver from Ministry of Environment and Forests. Pivotal in identifying alternative sources of spares for vintage Air Defence equipment of Russian origin procured from erstwhile USSR. Deputed to Russia for inspection of imported equipment.
