Spearheaded two change programs in the teams to improve performance and make the process leaner. A pilot was initiated with a small team to check the feasibility of the new process. After its success the entire team was transitioned to the new process. Performance improved by 50% for the editors while the cost reduced by 24% due to a leaner process requiring lesser staff.

This involved selection of the right set of people, developing the skill set to match the job responsibility, developing tools and guidelines to stabilize the new process.

The new product was launched successfully which helped contribute to 22% of the company's output for the year. The new product has now become an integral part of the revenue for every year.

I prefer overcoming problems rather than letting them fester. The prospect of overcoming challenges motivates me. Solving problems quickly and efficiently is an integral part of life in operations. And this is best dealt with talking to the people directly involved in the problem to understand the problem better. One of my favorite management quotes on problem solving:

Project Management

I have developed project management skills thanks to my experience managing multiple projects in operations. I have implemented a high number of small-scale and large-scale projects and change programs. Every product in production was an individual projects with its own requirements. My role helped me differentiate the needs of each product and act differently on them.

Desire to Learn

I find the prospect of learning something new exciting and it drives me to better myself. In order to evolve as a professional there needs to be a thirst for learning new things, which is a never-ending process.

Critical Thinker

I like to evaluate a situation from different perspectives and draw reasonable conclusions from it to form my view. I like to separate the logic from any scenario and inspect the finer details of it. Open communication with all stakeholders helps achieve best results to get all the required information.

Sense of Humor

This is a handy skill to have to ease pressure and to build rapport. People feel more at ease with someone who has this skill. Humor helps connect with people across all levels and to be an effective leader you need to have people who connect with you and your vision.
