PPL have state –of- -the Art one of the largest manufacturing facility in Asia to manufacture Jewelry of International quality & serve all markets worldwide.

  1. Strategy: Formulated strategies, to bring outstanding payment to zero and increased distributor’s network on all-India basis. Within three months of strict control, outstanding was brought to acceptable level & distributor’s net work was increased to 34 from 12 in a span of six months there by increase of business.
  2. Marketing: Marketing Master Alloys, Precious Metals/alloys like platinum, Palladium, Iridium, Ruthenium, Indium & other products being manufactured by PPL in the domestic markets on all-India basis. I was responsible for marketing of Plain & Studded Jewelry, made in Gold, Platinum, and Silver in National & International markets for first 5 years.
  3. Business Development: Developed new markets, for business with application selling concept, and effectively utilized network of distributors & Regional staff, which resulted in increase of revenue.
  4. Planning and Management: Reporting directly to the chairman and monitoring performance of distributors & all other marketing personnel on all-India basis and coordinating activities of all branches.

NESCO LTD

Nesco is market leader in tool manufacturing segment producing equipment such as forging hammers, presses, blow room lines, high production cards for the textile industry; and sucker rod pumps for on-shore oil recovery

  1. Business Development: Responsibility included marketing of capital equipments like Textile Spinning Machineries, Metal forming equipments (various kinds of Pneumatic and Mechanical forging hammers and presses), Oil recovery equipments (like API approved sucker rod pumping units used by ONGC and Oil India ) in domestic and international markets through team of engineers, branch personnel & network of distributors.
  2. Relationship Management: This job had given me an exposure to deal exclusively with Government customers, apart from private customers.
  3. Training: I was also responsible in providing direction, motivation & training to the sales team for ensuring optimum performance for all operational sales related departments.
  4. Additional Responsibilities: From 1st September, 2003 onwards, I was given an additional responsibility to market products of our sister concern M/S Indabrator Ltd, established as Joint venture company of Wheelabrator Corporation, USA. They manufacture and market Shot blasting Equipments and dust collecting plants in domestic and International Markets. To their credit, they have supplied more than 4000 machines for various applications to the cross section of the Indian Industries including exports to Gulf countries.

SIMPLEX GROUP OF INDUSTRIES

This is a heavy Engineering group, having six manufacturing units & also design & turnkey project division. The activities of marketing division included marketing of products manufactured by various group of companies in domestic & international markets and also booking orders for turnkey projects division. The products manufactured by Group companies includes castings, forgings, Equipments for core sector industries like Iron &Steel, Mining Industries, Cement Plants, Power Plants Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Aluminum Smelter plant, Railways. 

  1. International Business: My job responsibilities included export of Simplex products to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Gulf and Middle East countries & East and Central Africa etc. and coordinating projects related activities, representing products of international companies and marketed same in India. I have traveled number of times to South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Africa, Thailand, Gulf countries etc. for promotion of business related to products and projects.
  2. Domestic Sales: I was also responsible to promote company's products in the Western Region with team of engineers and assist Director marketing in following project sales and undertake any other important activities assigned to me. Learn the art of team management in training the team & ensuring adherence to the norms, reviewing quarterly performance of sales team in the region for reporting to top management.

In Larsen & Toubro Ltd, I worked for 16 years in their various offices at Baroda, Bhilai, Pune & Calcutta in their marketing division.

  1. Various products Divisions: In L&T started career with Baroda branch office & was looking after sales of Industrial Valves, Packaging Machineries & Drilling Equipments.
  2. Valves Division: After 2 Years I was transferred to Bhilai & started looking after valves division business .I was instrumental in booking highest orders for Speciality & industrial valves from my territories & received Appreciation letters from higher ups including chairman 
  3. Business Development with Government run organizations: Next posting was at Baroda as acting section Head. I booked one of the largest orders from ONGC & also motivated team of Engineers to give their best output.
  4. Training: Organized many technical seminars/presentations & developed new business.
  5. Business Development: Next posting was at Pune, where apart from increasing business learnt the art of business development, Team work & how to get best results from colleagues.
  6. Marketing: In L&T, last posting was at Calcutta and I was responsible for all India Marketing of Specialty Valves through network of branches, stockiest & team of engineers.

Major Achievements

  1. Having worked with professional organization like L & T in the beginning of my career for a tenure of 16 years , gave me an ample opportunities to learn fineraspects of marketing which has helped me to become marketing professional.
  2. It also gave me an exposure in handling large institutional customers & retail dealer net works.
  3. I was responsible for identifying & bringing joint venture partners from Muscat, Uganda & Dar-es-sallam to India to join hands with Simplex.
  4. Secured first order for simplex from IHI Japan for rolling mills equipments.
  5. I was instrumental in signing MOU with some of the reputed Korean companies like Hyundai Heavy Industries, L.G. Engineering, Posec, Dongil Rubber, with Simplex & also Some of the valves manufacturing companies etc for Co- operation in areas of mutual interest with Simplex.
  6. Entered in to rate contract with china steel of Taiwan for supply of castings from Simplex.
  7. In Nesco, strengthened branch offices, established Agents network, explored new markets & developed an excellent rapport with existing & new customers, which resulted in increased order booking & opening new accounts.
  8. In PPL increased share of markets by opening new accounts & by appointing new distributors.
  9. Utilizing years of marketing experience gained, conceptualized, strategize & implemented innovative marketing plan to ensure continued dominant market share.
