Accountabilities:

The primary responsibility is related to the management of financial aspects of construction projects: cost management, reviews, negotiates and administers contract proposals and specifications for client contracts/subcontracts; identifies, evaluates, and advises on potential project problems/risks.

1:- Procurement of Engineering Capital goods Like (Blower, centrifuge, Boiler, D.G, Compressors , Fuming hoods ,Jet Mill, Heat exchangers ,Reactors, fork lift etc.)

2:- Procurement of Civil structures & machineries Like (Angle, Beam, Channel, lift, slings, lifting equipment, civil contracts etc.)

3:-Procurement of Mechanical items like (pipe, elbow, Gasket, flanges, fittings, valves etc.)

4:- Procurement of Electrical Materials like (Lt/Ht Panels, Light fittings, Lv/ Mv /Hv / Optical/Instrumentation Cables, Pumps, Motor Transformers, boards, switches, RTD, Thermometers, Transmitter etc.)

5:- On all standard provide redlined recommendations and often negotiate directly with customer attorneys or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached. As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training to new project managers and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.

6:- Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.

7:- Develop and implement procedures for Procurement & contract management, FIDIC format, E-Bidding, Tendering and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.

8:- Work with HSE Risk Management Department / Finance to coordinate contractual insurance requirements.

9:- Work with Finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies, export controls etc. May include ‘financial engineering’ and understanding / evaluating economic impact of terms and term options.

Project-J-3 Project: RIL’s Jamnagar Expansion project, known as J3, is designed to increase production capacity of ethylene and other petroleum products at the complex. The third phase of the ongoing development project at the site, J3 includes Jamnagar’s Gasification plants, Cracker complex, and Paraxylene plant.

Accountabilities:

  • Handling Overall Procurement & Contracts of DTA Refinery outside & Utility as a part of J-3 Project. (Approx. 10 Billion $) consisting of Multidisciplinary streams i.e. Civil, Mechanical etc.
    • Working with Engineering, Construction & project Control department for obtaining data to prepare draft bid documents, Capex Material RFQ, QCS, TCS, Negotiation, P.O Award, Follow up in line with requirements.
    • Post Contract Administration including Extra items rates & Claim settlement, Work/Purchase Orders Amendments and to, ensure availability all required resource (Man Power, Plant & machinery etc.) to complete the Job within schedule with stipulated Safety & Quality requirements.
    • Highlights:
  • Technically sound with sound knowledge of Mechanical engineering
    • Finalized Multi-disciplinary Contracts of worth more than 200 Cr. Consists of Civil (Including Pipe Rack, Buildings, Foundation for equipment’s, Cable Trench & Duct Bank etc. ) and Mechanical ( Piping and Structure fabrication & Erection ) and other miscellaneous .  
    • Procurement of 800 Cr. material for Civil, Mechanical & Electrical site Requirement.
    • Finalized Contract of Pre Engineering & execution of Steam Blowing for J-3 Project.
    • Finalized Contract of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
  • Attend one week BOOT camp from M/s. Fluor on Contracts management.
  • Attend One day training Program on Six Sigma and Lean Concept.
