• Created strategy to migrate from legacy Management Information System (MIS) to three-tiered technology platform by introducing new architecture (XML bus messaging system via Tibco RV & Business Works). Substantially reduced the number of interfaces between upstream and downstream systems (Summit, Market Risk, Funding, Profitability, GMI, Interest Rate Derivatives OPUS and Calypso Technology).

• Managed all downstream systems for the migration of a Financial Futures processing system (GMI) to a new accounting schema using the new XML bus messaging system.

• Reengineered all Production Access Security (Model, Control and Permanent Supervision).

• Implemented segregations of the development and production environment.

• Managed the overall Information Security Office (ITIL Governance, Policies & Standard, KPI and SLA).

• Collaborated IT strategic plans for enterprise-wide architecture & applications in coordination with the Global IT organization.

• Managed a project portfolio of 5 initiatives:

- Directed and restructured of a large initiative of outsourcing of Fixed Income back-office.

- Successfully executed the exit of outsourcing contracts relating to Fixed Income Broker Dealer back-office.

- Effectively consolidated the Fixed Income Broker Dealer back-office into the Treasury Fixed Income back-  office and upgraded the internal platform, accomplished by leveraging STP via front office and clearing   systems (i.e.GSCC & BONY).

- Managed a Global Feasibility Study of the Global Fixed Income Processing systems. Resulted in an   effective global strategy for processing and clearing of Securities.

- Chaired Request For Proposal process (Global RFP) and led vendor response, evaluation and selection   process. Formed and directed due-diligence teams to assess all vendors retained in the short list (Calypso  Technology, Summit and OPICS).

• Provided strategic decisions in terms of architecture of integration of Calypso Technology.

• Managed the production support and development.

• Initiated a pilot plan utilizing offshore resources in Bangalore for QA Testing using the Mercury testing suite.

2000 - 2002

Head of Global e-commerce Technology group

The e-commerce Technology group comprised of direct report team members of 15 technologists and virtual teams across all business lines in both US and Europe. It was a repository of specialist information services for development and support infrastructure for e-commerce technologies.

• Implemented the banks FX & MM e-commerce website (Financial Oxygen), FX liquidity provider website (Cognotec), multi-bank FX portal initiative (Centradia) and FX Quote Contribution to Bloomberg.

• Developed tools to streamline the intranet development using Lotus Notes and Domino.

• Performed multiple technology due-diligence assessments (Icor,,, Financial Oxygen).

1998 - 2000

• Managed the Infrastructure group for SG US Branch and the technology departments of Treasury Division, SG Securities, SG Energy & Commodities and Equity Derivatives group.

• Created & Directed the PMO of Y2K. Spearheaded a strategy to meet all Federal Reserve Bank and regulatory deadlines under a very tight schedule: Achieved successful Y2K Green status in 6 months.

• Designed & Implemented STP link of FX & MM to the new back-office system (OPICS).

• Partnered with a third-party vendor to develop and implement a new back-office system for Interest Rate Derivatives (Renaissance/OPUS) and retired the legacy systems (TMark and OMark) on VAX/VMS.

• Implemented the Credit Derivatives module in OPUS (using OIL Tools of OPUS).

• Implemented an outsourcing project of the Financial Futures processing and clearing system to GMI/FIMAT.

• Initiated and implemented a real time payment messaging system based on MQ-Series.

1995 - 1998

• Managed and implemented the expansion of the trading floor with 110 trading desks within three months in order to handle the new broker dealer entity (SG Cowen).

• Implemented the outsourcing Fixed Income broker dealer processing system (Bear Stearns).

• Implemented a Fixed Income Repo trading system (Decision Software) and Gov't Trading system (Aurora WinFits).

• Implemented the global Basket Trading System. The Order Management System (OMS) was modified by the NY team to accommodate NYSE rules and send orders automatically to NYSE.

• Managed a joint development with Head Office on a FX Options margin trading system.

• Implemented a FX Options trading system (Fenics).

• Initiated a pilot program to implement Bloomberg over TCP/IP and replaced all Bloomberg videos.

• Directed the implementation of a consolidated billing system (Market Data Management - Market Data Services Ltd.) for all Market Data & ECNs.

1993 - 1995

• Created & Managed the Trading Floor Technology group.

• Designed & Implemented a large trading floor of 250 positions.It encompassed all aspects of trading technology: Voice, Data Network and Market Data Services & Analytics.

• Improved trading floor's productivity while reducing market data costs through the new digital platform (featured in the article "Tomorrow's technology today" in the Spring 1995 issue of the Open Finance magazine).

• Directed and developed a real-time FX & MM front-office deal capture and positions keeping system with link to ECNs (Reuters Dealing and EBS), and STP link with FX processing system on VAX/VMS. Products included FX Spot, FX Forward, FX Swap, FX Futures, and EFP.

  • Designed & Implemented a trading floor of 25 positions. The innovative solution utilized in-house and third party vendor solutions to provide traders and sales persons with a market data digital switching system (Triarch Reuters) using Trader Intelligent Workstation, UNIX (Sun Microsystems) based (Effix Systems) and trading Turret system (Etrali).
  • Managed a joint team with Effix to design and develop a real-time Foreign Exchange (FX) & Money Market (MM) Trading and a STP link to the back-office system based on the mainframe’s Siemens.
  • Implemented an Inetrest Rate Derivatives (Devon).
  • Implemented a FX Options trading system (Murex).
