Marketing Assistant

ATS Euromaster, Birmingham, UK

Working in an international company helped me gain wider knowledge in the business field in general and in marketing in particular.

I was closely working on a daily basis with creative agencies to design our marketing campaign material which enhanced my creative thinking and attention to detail.

I was preparing reports from the customer service survey each month and presented the results to the Heads of B2B and B2C Marketing managers. Precision, punctuality and prioritization ability became a must carrying this duty.

I was a part of a team of two which introduced a new product to our range and became the pioneer in our industry in UK.

I was in charge of maintaining the retail marketing social media accounts using Hootsuite, which developed my copywriting skills.

I was given the opportunity to run my own projects, which generated additional profit for the company and enhanced my leadership and project management skills.

Other ad hoc duties included: preparing competitors reports on Excel for the Product and Pricing Manager; contacting customers by phone and e-mail, which developed my customer service skills; processing all B2B and B2C Marketing invoices

May 2011 - Sep 2012

Bar Manager

Scandinavian Bar, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

Being a manager of a bar made me able to work under pressure on a daily basis because of the requirements of my employer.

I was supervising the staff at the bar, was also making the daily orders and prepared financial reports at the end of every day and month. These duties improved my organizational skills and helped me manage my time better.

May 2010 - Sep 2010

Head Receptionist

Hotel Yantra, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria

I checked-in and out the guests, communicated with the travel agencies over the phone, in person and via e-mail applying my English language skills. I was also accepting the invoices and vouchers and prepared financial reports for the hotel owner every fortnight.

Extracurricular Activities

  • Academic year 2015 – I was carrying out The Times annual "Top 100 Graduate Employers Survey" among final year students at Aston University. We had a target to meet as well as a deadline, which combined with university work put a lot of pressure on us, but I managed to successfully reach my personal goal well before the final deadline. This extracurricular activity taught me to effectively manage my time when I am going through periods of heavy workload.
  • Academic year 2014/2015 – I was a member of UNICEF on Campus at Aston University. We were organizing charity events that aimed to help children from Birmingham in need and also raise awareness among students about the importance of securing a better future for the children.
  • Academic years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 – Aston Peer Mentoring Scheme – the project aims to help students accommodate better in the academic life by providing each other with advice and support. I was both a mentor and a mentee.
  • Academic year 2012/2013 – Project team leader of SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) at Aston University. The position made me more responsible because I had to supervise and navigate the members in my team.
  • Academic year 2012/2013 – President of the Travelling Society at Aston University. Apart from organizing trips I had to give the rest of the committee general directions and attend the Students’ Union regular meetings.
  • Academic year 2011/2012 – Course representative of International relations at Aston University. Being a representative helped me develop my communication skills and made me more confident in talking in front of public.
