About Me

I am seeking employment as a full-time school-based SLP position for the 2012 -2013 school year in the San Diego area, preferably in the Poway School District. I am available to begin in June if possible. I do not have a preference for age/setting, and I have previous experience with children in grades K-12.

I am currently employed by Top Echelon Contracting in a full-time position at Abby Reinke Elementary School in Temecula, CA, where my caseload includes children in grades K - 5 with various speech and language impairments.

In the summer and fall of 2011, I was employed as an SLP at Little City Foundation, a non-profit organization in Palatine, IL, dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities. I worked with adults over the summer, and in August of 2011, transitioned to children with autism and other disabilities in grades 5-8 with the opening of the ChildBridge Center for Education on the LCF campus.

In May 2011, I completed requirements for the ASHA CCC-SLP during employment with EBS Healthcare full-time at an elementary school in Lake Zurich, IL, serving students with a variety of communication disorders. My caseload included students with articulation disorders to severe language impairments and developmental disabilities, in small group pull-out sessions, individual treatment sessions, and inclusion therapy for special education students.

I hold an IL State License in Speech-Language Pathology and a Type 15 interim license as a school-based SLP. I have applied for a Type 73 Non-Teaching SLP to work in the IL school system, which is pending. Salary is negotiable, depending on the setting. Preferred hourly income is in the $45/hour range.

Please contact me via email or cell with any inquiries, and thank you for your interest!
