Summary

I am a professional with long-standing experience in Advertising and Publishing, having held senior positions in the Account Management department of multinational and large national advertising agencies. My last post was a Sales and Marketing Manager with Scientific Publications Ltd, a company specializing in the field of publications addressed to the medical and pharmaceutical industry. This affiliate company to C&C International conventions and congresses group, ceased its operation as of end of June 2008. Currently, therefore, I am in pursuit of new career opportunities widening the spectrum of my search beyond the publishing industry into other business areas that may present new challenges.

My long experience in the advertising business, has allowed me to work as a business consultant on marketing issues, corporate strategy, new product research and launch as well as communication positioning and development for major companies in the automotive, mobile communication, durables, FMCG and services sectors. Moreover, as a senior management executive in recent years, my focus on new business development has successfully led to the creation of new clientele both from the private as well as the public sector, for the advertising and publishing companies I have worked with.

I am an individual with strong communication skills and people orientation, while my experience working on numerous accounts has equipped me with the necessary skills and understanding to also undertake and successfully implement demanding and diverse projects in the areas of Communications, Marketing, PR, Conventions & Congresses organization, Promotions, Strategic Consulting and Business Development.

Sales and Marketing Manager responsible for the B2B development of medical and pharmaceutical content publications to the health sector. Marketing Manager responsible for the business development of the current subscription base of MARKETING WEEK and MARKETING GUIDE. Further product development of the MARKETING GUIDE with online upgrading and innovative search opportunities. Coordination of the whole marketing effort for the promotion of both publications, formulation of the commercial policy along with the data mining activity. Developed the launch of the MARKETING WEEK digital version. Also involved in the weekly translation of HBR articles being published in MARKETING WEEK. Reporting to the CEO.

Actively involved in new business development and in the current reengineering and organizational restructuring of the company with emphasis on the development of new internal cost-saving processes, renegotiating terms and conditions of cooperation with external associates, establishing personnel management policies (remuneration schemes, appraisal norms, training, organizational structure). Regarding new business generation, also responsible for representation of the agency in joint partnership and alliances with other agencies. Major duties included Account Planning and Company Profitability (reporting to MARFIN COMM). Also responsible for New Business Development which led to the recent successful undertaking of the campaign for the introduction of Euro currency in the Greek market initiated by the Bank of Greece. Client Service Director in charge of PAPADOPOULOS biscuits, HERMES Mutual Funds, EVEREST fast food restaurants, PHILIPS audio/video electronics, CYCLON & CASTROL Lubricants, MIGATO shoes, AMVYX importer of liquor brands (ABSOLUT, CAMPARI, GRANT’S, OUZO 12, etc). Managed the pitches for MERCEDES-BENZ Hellas and NOTA Lingerie stores which resulted in successful undertaking. Participating in the  agency’s management committee, supervising the entire client service department consisting of 10 executives.
