Working as part of the software team responsible to deliver the next generation BMW infotainment head units; I am working in a C embedded development environment, on a two microcontrollers system:

  • nVidia Tegra2 (ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core) running Linux based OS;
  • Freescale FADO MPC5668x (PowerPC Architecture Technology) running AUTOSAR based OS.

May 2013 – Oct 2014

As part of the so called "Software Stability Team", I am responsible for driving all stability tickets reported on AUTOSAR OS based microcontroller from root-cause analysis to integration of the final software fix. I’ve been involved in a task force, lasted two months, driving all the needed activities to ensure the needed product stability (in terms of resets per 10000 Km) to have start of production granted by the customer. In this emergency based scenario, I was able to successfully drive to positive results a team of 5 developers.


Jan 2013 – Oct 2014

Responsible for driving the deployment of System Watchdog functionality, from design to development/testing and then to integration into final software baseline.

Goal of the activity is to ensure mass production with zero unrecovered hangs of the system.

As Domain Leader for low level system functions (System Lifecycle/Power Management), I am responsible for managing all the activities and the engineers belonging to a specific functional area (I’ve been driving a team of up to 10 people). In particular, I am responsible to interact with the suppliers, to lead the internal development activities and to manage the relation with the customer. I am responsible for features planning and I have to guarantee their convergence in terms of time and quality. Defects reduction and bugs tracking are in my responsibility as well.

As part of this experience, I spent one year driving a team jointly composed by supplier and customer employees, working directly at BMW customer premises in Munich (Germany). In the context of this very challenging activity, I worked with Agile/SCRUM project management methodologies in order to deliver the expected results within though deadlines.
