Community Public Health Practicum: Maternal and Child Health Field Team-Washington County, Oregon
Home Health Nursing Practicum: Tuality Home Health Services, Forest Grove, Oregon
40 hours per week, 40 hours per week, 127,000.00 per year, Inpatient staff RN on a team of five certified wound nurses and 3 certified ostomy nurses in a 523 bed magnet hospital. I service all areas of the hospital including psychiatric floor. I perform wound care, apply negative pressure wound therapy, stoma marking, fistula care, and new ostomate education post surgery. I follow new ostomates post their inpatient stay in the outpatient ostomy clinic. I am foot and nail certified and see our inpatient diabetic foot patients and place appropriate referrals. I have assisted with precepting three new wound and ostomy candidates for WOCN certification in the past two years. I precept pre licensure nursing students for senior practicums and those interested in wound and ostomy care from local nursing programs. I consult with home health nurses in the field on challenging wound and ostomy cases. I am most pleased with initiating the process to establish a fellowship program to train interested nurses from within to be wound and ostomy certified nurses.

24 hours per week, Wound and Ostomy Outpatient Clinic and Inpatient, team member, preceptor for WOCN wound and ostomy candidate
40 hours per week,Wound and Ostomy Management Services Outpatient Clinic, Inpatient Hospital and Gero-Psychiatric Unit. Interprofessional Diabetic Foot Clinic, limb preservation, total contact casting, tissue substitutes, bariatric care, preceptor, patient scheduling, assist in surgery with complex trauma wounds and negative pressure wound therapy applications.
