For the last 15 years, Vance Elder has served BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. as a Senior Investment Advisor. In this role, he manages a team of wealth investment professionals charged with advising clients on a range of financial issues including wealth management, investments, and retirement planning. Owing to his achievement within the firm, Vance Elder has earned the distinction of membership in the BMO Nesbitt Burns Chairman’s Council. In addition, he is licensed as a Personal Financial Planner through the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC).
Devoted to philanthropic service, Vance Elder worked with the Planned Giving Committee for Wood’s Homes, an organization charged with providing therapeutic services to Canadian youths. Elder also dedicated time to BMO Nesbitt Burns’ Entrepreneurial Adventure Program, which offers mentoring support to young people interested in business entrepreneurship. He donates regularly to a number of national charities, such as the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Canadian Cancer Society, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
A fan of athletics, Vance Elder plays a number of sports in his free time including tennis, hockey, and golf. Elder earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Calgary, where he studied Economics and Management. He makes his home in Calgary.
