About Val Stratford

Educated in general administration at Weber State College, Val Stratford went on to secure standing as a certified insurance counselor and a certified risk manager. From the late 1990s to the mid-2000s, he handled a range of sales and commercial account services for Barlow Insurance Group and Zions Insurance Agency, both located in Layton, Utah. In 2004, Val Stratford also led as president of the Utah Association of Independent Insurance Agents.

Subsequently, Val Stratford assumed responsibilities as owner and president of Stratford Insurance Group. Heading the Layton business since 2004, he directs long-term budgeting and business planning, oversees all producer development, and maintains a wide variety of insurance company relationships.

Active in his community, the experienced insurance professional has participated in the Layton Rotary Club since 1991 and served as executive director of the Layton Community Action Council since 1999. In 2005, he won a volunteer service award from the Davis County chapter of Uniting Neighbors.
