As Finance Manager during my tenure; the Publising Company doubled in size from approximately 30 to 62+ franchises in multiple States across the country. Responsibilities included utilizing Quickbooks Pro for credit card billing for national advertising, issuing payments to publishers, collecting monthly royalties from each publisher, accounts receivable and payable, electronic payroll and taxes, quarterly payroll summaries, bank reconciliations. I also managed a second company using Quickbooks for the Naples/Ft. Myers local magazine which included monthly billing for advertising, collections, AR/AP, customer service, and expense splits between the two companies.
Created and maintained database for Incident reports, Medication Errors and Customer Satisfaction surveys for multiple departments at the agency. Chaired monthly Risk Management committee meetings, created meeting minutes for several standing Committees. Provided reports and analysis of trends noted. Handled client grievances and followed up on corrective actions suggested for Incident Reports. Also responsible for all departmental policies and procedures. Assisted with preparing agency for JCAHO accreditation.
Supervised billing office staff for hospital insurance billing for physical and occupational therapy. Medical transcription. ICD-9 and CPT coding for claims filed. Followed up on insurance denials and collections.
Performed front and back office duties. Reception, appointments, checking patients in and out, collections, daily reconciliations of accounts and bank deposits. Performed Venipuncture, administered injections, recorded blood pressures, conducted routine lab tests and EKG's.

My career started out working for physicians over a 15 year period. I then did Medical Transcription and Medical Billing/Coding for a physical therapy practice for seven years where I eventually ended up as Office Manager.
I am currently certified as a Medical Assistant and prefer to work in the Administrative end of a medical office or facility.

I have worked in the Quality Assurance and Improvement departments for two inpatient mental health facilities.
