Digital Deployment Consultant, Ernst & Young One year maternity cover as a Digital Deployer in the Europe Middle East, India and Africa team for Ernst & Young's Digital Deployment team with work on a broad range of client teams as well as taking on an active role in the deployment of EY's collaboration tools: Supported EY's collaboration toolset(SharePoint 2010, eRoom, Client Portal intranet) with a mixture of proactive support(presentations, proposals and recommendations), hands on delivery, reactive help and the provision of supporting guides. Project managed the development of a service line based eRoom template and the provision of supporting materials and training, improving the efficiency and quality of services delivered.

Insights Manager


Wunderman is one of the largest digital marketing agencies in the UK and is part of the global Wunderman network working on a wide range of brands.

In my role as insights Manager, I was embedded with the Planning Department and was required to have a keen understanding of the marketing and digital sector, taking on the following roles:

  • Kept staff and clients abreast of changes within their sectors and aware of developments more generally within marketing, advertising and the digital sector through email based current awareness programme. This provided teams with usable intelligence that fostered client relationships and kept the agency ahead of other agencies looking to compete in the digital space.
  • Ensured information and research requests from Planning, Account Management and the Creative Department as well as Business Development were addressed. Requests covered a broad range of issues including market intelligence, consumer insights, developments in marketing and advertising. Requests were promptly and effectively answered with outputs ranging from sound bites through to substantial reports and presentations. The role allowed me to develop a keen understanding of the business and consumer landscape and how different media and technology can be used to shape it.
  • Supported Business Development in responding to new business RFIs and the development of marketing collateral, working with senior colleagues to ensure the delivery of appropriate responses as well as researching companies and key individuals.
  • Developed and managed a collection of information resources and tools to address the organisation's information needs and provided support to fellow employees in their use with supporting materials and training and induction sessions.

Researcher, BBC New Media provided the digital infrastructure for the BBC's online operations. This was a contract position within their search team.

Involved the following roles:

  • Worked with content teams within the BBC to improve the content linked from the BBC search page and regularly re-assessed existing results to ensure that the best content was fielded.
  • Assisted in the development of guidelines to improve user experience.
  • Wrote and edited copy for BBC Online.


Ask Jeeves (now was at the time of my employment, one of the major players in the UK search market.

Permanent position with Ask Jeeves working with their consumer editorial team which came to an end when retrenchment in the internet sector saw large scale redundancies within the editorial team. The role Involved the following tasks:
• Development and management of content for Ask Jeeves’ property and society content
• Monetising of search traffic through identification of potential content partners.
