Oversaw field operations, fundraising, messaging and general strategy to increase Asian-American voter turnout in multiple target districts. Supervised coordination efforts between gubernatorial, state senate and house campaigns in suburban Cook County.
Designed and implemented annual five-month training institute for 25 Chicago fellows. Created and maintained relationships with 180+ person community of faculty, professional mentors and alumni. Advanced leadership development opportunities through events, conferences, and seminars for young professionals. Conducted weekend training workshops and seminars across the country.
Raised more than $1.5M to help support initiatives expanding veteran employment through government contracting, corporate responsibility and philanthropy. Executed and supervised annual summer program that employed 17 full-time veterans to teach 93 students employment and job development skills.
Raised $1.3M through call time and fundraisers. Pioneered a vote-by-mail program targeting the Asian-American community to increase voter turnout. Developed a network of activists, elected officials and community leaders to support the campaign.
Created 17 volunteer led community field teams to support multiple area campaigns across 3 different congressional districts in Chicago’s northwest suburbs. Trained volunteers, led workshops, spoke to high school assemblies about the campaign, and organized getting out the vote efforts.
Analyzed complex political and policy considerations, strategic plans for advancing legislative priorities, and research memoranda for internal and communications needs to provide on-demand vote recommendations to senators. Collaborated with executive agencies, industry, labor, interest groups, and GOP senate offices to identify areas for potential compromise and mutual gain. Evaluated various budgets options for state agencies, which included state, federal, and special funds.

Board Member - With support from the Trust, the board empowers young professionals to manage the grantmaking process, research innovative grassroots organizations, conduct site visits, interview staff and evaluate grant requests.
