Lead Flight Test Engineer

  • Oversaw flight testing of second generation product – the largest project undertaken by Avidyne to date, requiring coordination of 2 aircraft, 4 pilots and 3 flight test engineers.
  • Modified and formalized existing procedures to document all required flight test maneuvers and software bugs: pre-flight, carry-out, record, debrief and report.
  • Executed process with transparency, clarity and efficiency, creating a free flow of information and a considerable reduction of redundant work by multiple departments on the order of man-months.

  • Given ambitious task of certifying over 50,000 lines of software code to F.A.A. standards 3 months ahead of schedule to meet customer’s needs.
  • Analyzed process with team to determine bottlenecks and concluded code coverage step to be largest schedule risk.  Implemented system of collaboration with software engineers to work one-on-one with systems-software team members to locate and fix issues in real time.

  • Investigated Closed Caption Latina's multi-million dollar business operations with focus on financial and marketing performance to determine largest risks to future growth.
  • Recommended renegotiation of ambiguous customer contracts to preserve current cash flow while leveraging industry contacts to hire an expert agent in broadcasting sales to develop new business relationships.
  • Implementation of renegotiations and recruitment of agent are currently on-going.

  • Tasked to design first emergency oxygen system for Adam’s very light jet within budget of weight and cost.
  • Researched and collaborated with outside vendors to design both the passenger and pilot oxygen systems and present periodic reviews of progress to executive team.
  • Exceeded Federal Aviation Regulations while coming in underweight and budget.
