Axiom Analytix

Mar 2014 - Present

Vice President, Information Technology

Axiom Advisors, Inc. reinvented itself as “Axiom Analytix” to become “the source” for comparable operational data—along with actionable insights—for analyzing and evaluating California’s schools’ and districts’ performance. We leveraged over a decade of experience in developing the most innovative “mandated” school and district data collection systems to amass the widest-array of public school data available anywhere. Our clients enjoy unparalleled access to over 1,000+ local educational agencies and more than 10,000 schools data and documents, providing views to often overlooked or never-before-seen performance opportunities.

  • Purchased, attended training courses and implemented Logi Info, a business analytics platform, which provides a wide range of fully customizable and scalable reports, dashboards and interactive visualizations to developers that can be embedded into applications for end-users.
  • Trained Axiom's technical and non-technical staff to use Logi Info as well as deploy reports to the live environment. Created processes that allowed the technical and non-technical staff to work together, seamlessly (ie. Microsoft SQL Server stored procedure request from non-technical staff to technical staff).

Senior Software Developer

Lead/lone developer from concept to launch of Truancy Hunter, an ASP.NET solution that completely automates truancy tracking, in California's School Districts, from the initial truant through the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) process. Truancy Hunter utilizes data directly from the school district's existing student information system to identify and allow for the processing of truant students. It allows users to upload their own letterheads and signatures and print the truancy letters themselves or they can request that Axiom staff print and mail the letters for them. Users can also generate district, school or student specific reports. Additionally, behind-the-scenes time and user tracking features in Truancy Hunter send data to Axiom's mandate activity program, Mandate Central, which allows Axiom staff to file California mandated, reimbursable claims based on time spent processing truant students, to the State Controller on behalf of the district.

  • Worked directly with San Mateo-Foster City School District's SIS Specialist on concepts and data modeling.
  • Reported to IT Director and worked with Marketing Director as well as CEO on program specifications and implementation.
