EDR Server

Restaurant Associates Corp. - Merrill Lynch

Responsible for:

  • Setup and preparation of events, meetings, and conferences
  • Full a la carte service
  • Bar inventory
  • Bar service for cocktail and dinner events
  • Client relations
  • Involved in regular food training and presentation for staff in order to better serve the clients

Began with Restaurant Associates in high-end off site catering.  This included events at the Metropolitan Museum, The Natural History Museum, and Carnegy Hall

After working with Merrill Lynch on a few of their events, I was invited to join the team.  Currently perform full a la carte service for company executives and their clients, handle setup for large international conferences, involved in all elements of evening special events (including dinners, cocktail parties, and showcase events).

  • Handling client emails and customer service
  • Caring for arriving and leaving shipments

Wine 101
Attended class held by Acker Merrill sommelier.  Learned some of the intracacies of wine, wine making, and food pairing. 
Mixology Training with Award Winning Mixologist
Attended training class held by international award winning mixologist Charlotte Voisey.  Charlotte won Mixologist of the Year, Female Bartender of the Year, has been featured in Forbes magazine, and has created drinks for some of New York's most prestigious bars and restaurant.  I was able to learn several of her signature drinks and the secrets of making the perfect cocktail.  I was also given the opportunity to work with Charlotte at an event and bartend along side her.
Beer Training with Brooklyn Brewmaster
Attended training class held by author and brewmaster Garrett Oliver.  Later, was invited by Mr. Oliver to spend the day at the Brooklyn Brewery.  Worked with him on the process of brewing beer, attributes of different beers, and how to pair beer with food.

Daniel Bader

Dan Bader was a coordinating manager for me when I worked offsite catering for Restaurant Associates.  He assigned me to events and handled the details of my work there.

He has since gone on to his current position with the Manhattan Times.  Dan remains a friend and has encouraged me to pursue greater roles in the culinary industry.

Kendall Hudson

Currently work with Kendall Hudson in her role at the Merrill Lynch Client Center.  Her role is to work with the clients to plan and coordinate the events.  With her information we implement the event specs.  This includes dining requirements, client requests, and room setup.

Tom Matterface

Although Tom Matterface's role is primarily in organizing the kitchen, we work closely to assure the best service for our clients.  We do not view a great separation in roles between the kitchen and front of house staff, we are one team.
