Director Product Management & Design

  • Launched two products leading to an 8% revenue increase for Allegiance, a leading Voice of the Customer analytics and insights platform. Helped transform the product to an enterprise class offering and expansion into several new verticals.
  • Lead the product design and user interface department. Increased task completion rates by 12 – 18%. Established the design team, design guidelines, and design processes that fit into agile sprints. The last product I designed was rated 9/10 for ease of use by customers.
  • Assisted with the migration to agile and SCRUM master for agile teams. Embraced lean startup and lean UX methodologies for faster, customer validated product releases.

  • Drove the design and implementation of several user interface and usability and Web 2.0 enhancements in the base product. Coordinated with the management, engineering and marketing teams to maintain and exceed project deliverables and expectations.

  • Drove the vision, creation and implementation of a new product line (launch mid-2009). Liaised with a cross-functional team to coordinate deliverables and launch requirements for the new product.

  • Hired as a developer and promoted to manage a team of 7 within a month.

  • Managed a team that developed a supply management system for Taj Hotels & Resorts, one of the largest resort chains in India.

  • 2008 - 2009: Co-host of Border Crossings, a radio show focusing on the politics and culture of South Asia and its diaspora on KPFT, Houston.

  • 2004 - 2006 Present: Member of the Ghadar collective. Ghadar is an e-zine with an emphasis on the culture and cultural politics in South Asia and its diaspora.

  • Ongoing: Help various not-for-profit organizations build, implement and maintain their web presence.
