Trent Sherrell is an expert in human-centered IA [Information Architecture] and UX [User Experience] design. Possessing a formidable, award-winning background in graphic and information design, marketing, teaching, as well as video and photography production, Trent employs a multi-disciplined approach in order to best organize and deliver content that maintains a keen focus on the final objective: the removal of barriers that separate communicator and target audience from optimal proximity and the ability to form one-to-one, trustworthy relationships. A film aficionado, Trent currently pursues additional, formal education in film studies with an emphasis on screenwriting. At first impression, one might presume these two pursuits as completely disparate. A personal passion, Trent researches and writes about methods that enable web communicators to leverage classical, Greek storytelling structure, techniques, and character (archetypical) development in order to develop and deliver online content at a successful level higher than present-day standards. His forth-coming blog, located at www.ia-ux.com, will document these theories. Trent’s activities on the social web can be found listed at: http://xeeSM.com/tSherrell. In the physical world, Trent makes his home in the Chicago area with wife and Violinist, Dr. Gretchen Madson-Sherrell, their three kids, and one dachshund - half a dog tall, two dogs long. He can also be found a member of several professional organizations including: the IAI [Information Architecture Institute], IxDA [Interaction Design Association], AIGA [American Institute of Graphic Artists / Chicago Chapter]and IFP [Independent Film Project / Chicago Chapter].
