I began my graphic design training in 1998 and continue to grow my skills in all areas of design. I am constantly pushing the limits to expand my knowledge while keeping up with industry standards. My peers haverepeatedly recognized me as one of the top designers and a favored collaborator.

GIS Analyst/Licensing CoordinatorRecruited to coordinate the environmental assessment (EA ) aspect of the relicensing of hydroelectric dams in Maine and across the nation. Participated in scoping sessions, facilitated stakeholder break out groups, drafted sections of EA for FERC submittal, researched and interpreted federal regulations, developed extensive river mile GIS data for major rivers in New England, codeveloped corporate GIS standards manual, developed GPS data field collection protocols, developed several relicensing Web sites for hydropower clients and stakeholders as a collaboration and document sharing tool.

As the sole graphic designer for the company, I provided layout design fora nationwide medical journal, developed print and web advertisements, designed a 20 x 20 ft. trade show booth, and served as the corporatewebmaster providing CSS/xHTML on active server page architecture. My work required extensive use of Adobe CS4 Design Premium package (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Acrobat).

Recruited to join a specialized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team to support the program management of the Maine Power Reliability Project, Central Maine Power’s effort to upgrade the bulk power network.

Developed corporate mapping standards manual as well as mapping templates and assisted with extensive mapping for Natural Resources Protection Act permitting efforts. Extensive experience in ArcGIS 9.x ArcInfo level.

This experience was annexed from my second tour within the AmeriCorps based at the Wild Salmon Resource Center in Columbia Falls, Maine. Coordinated the watershed assessment of nonpoint source pollution efforts under a Maine DEP Clean Water Act section 319 grant. Project SHARE (Salmon Habitat and River Enhancement), being the fiscal agent, envisioned a need for further watershed assessments within the Atlantic salmon rivers of Washington County.

Worked with state and federal agencies to develop an extensive GIS database for natural resource planning and habitat identification and protection. Coordinated and recuited volunters, managed permitting efforts for river restoration projects, facilitated stakeholder meetings and provided nonpoint source pollution detection, prioritization and abatement training to municipal code enforcement officers.

Developed Web site and nonpoint source pollution database as a result of county-wide efforts to be used to prioritize restoration projects which is still in use today.

Collected samples of sea urchins (Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis) via SCUBA from the coast of Maine from Coobscook Bay to Casco Bay. Collected water quality samples for Chlorophyll A & B research. Aged urchin tests, collected roe for fecundity.
